Hello Fellas! It is my pleasure in notifying you about the Sacred Games Official Trailer.

Last month the makers of this first Netflix India series boosted our craving by launching the teaser and now the craving is reaching the sky. If you haven’t wwatchedthe teaser then you can watch it right below.

The release date of Sacred Games has been announced as 6th July 2018 which is exactly one month from now.

And in order to help ourselves embrace a little patience, let’s see what all the Sacred Games web series has to offer.

Sacred Games series in brief

This past August, Netflix India announced its first original web series based on the Sacred Games Book by Vikram Chandra, a 2006 thriller novel. It is going to be an epic of exceptional richness and power, and the first Netflix original series that will be made in India. The show will be produced in partnership with Anurag Kashyap’s production house Phantom Films. It inculcates eight hour-long episodes directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, the co-founders of Phantom Films. These filmmakers will invest their creative energies in eight hour-long episodes.

In a recent tweet, Netflix India has announced the cast for the web series which includes Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Radhika Apte.

It will be bankrolled by Kashyap, Motwane, Vikas Bahl and Madhu Mantena’s Phantom Films. The release date is yet to be announced.

An Interesting Plot Summary

Basically, it is a magnificent story of friendship and betrayal, terrible violence, an astonishing modern city, and its dark side. It evokes with devastating realism the way we live now but resonates with the intelligence and emotional depth of the best of literature.

The series will focus on Sartaj Singh, one of the very few Sikhs in the Mumbai police force who is identified by his turban, beard and the sharp cut of his trousers. He is summoned by an anonymous tip one morning, a voice which promises him an opportunity to capture the powerful Ganesh Gaitonde, criminal overlord of the G-Company. As the stakes mount and Sartaj seeks knowledge of his prey, it becomes clear that the game, the two players thought they were engaged in is, in fact, part of a much larger scenario, one that expands beyond their city.

The First 3 Character Stills

In the first still, Saif Ali Khan will be seen in the role of a Sikh police officer in a turbaned avatar. He has worn the uniform and pointing a gun at a dimly lit basement. There is blood smeared all over his hands and face which adds to the picture’s intrigue.

In the second still, Radhika Apte is seen staring at a man standing beside her Saif as she stares into his eyes disapprovingly and has worn western clothes.

The third still has Nawazuddin Siddiqui slyly smiling at himself while admiring his sherwani inside what looks like a middle-class abode. He seems to be the happiest out of the lot.

Why Should You be Excited to Watch Sacred Games?

This was the first Indian web series announced for Netflix and it features the popular Bollywood stars. It combines the ambition of a 19th-century social novel with a cops-and-Bhais detective thriller. (Bhai is a Mumbai slang term for a gangster.) Set in Mumbai, the show delves into the city’s intricate web of organized crime, corruption, politics, and espionage that lie beneath India’s economic renaissance. It is an epic masterwork of exceptional richness and power that interweaves the lives of the privileged, the famous, the wretched and the bloodthirsty.

Wadda you say?

Well, for me it is really tough to wait for the release. After going through such an appealing plot bricked upon politics, corruption and organized crime you can’t even resist the fact that even the trailer isn’t out yet. Most of us are big die-hard fans of the “Bhai” flicks like Once upon a time in Mumbai and we really crave for such plots. I certainly hope that Sacred Games has something more to offer. By the way, earlier I felt pity for Saif Ali Khan not being cast in Race 3. But now I can confidently say that he doesn’t need it as he is pursuing something bigger. I mean, it is Netflix and everybody yall around the world will be watching the best Bollywood has to offer. Who outside India actually cares about Race 3? Funny huh!

Undoubtedly, it is the most awaited Netflix series in India right now; not only because it based on a clean and exciting concept; but also because it is lead by Bollywood’s gems. Very soon, you’ll see Twitter and other social networks populated with #sacredgames hashtags.
