So here we have yet another quote from Deus Ex video game series. It is about stress and mental health. So without wasting any time in the introduction, let us go deeper and connect ourselves with the quote.

Moving on

Getting over grief is rarely easy. However less we choose to get involved with many people, even those of us part of small social circles end up being vulnerable. When bad things do happen nearly everyone has a tough time moving on. Heartache is far from any physical pain we may experience and should be handled differently.

The mind – a complex thing

Over time, we can train ourselves to get over bad experiences. However, on occasion, we may come across triggers that unlock a truckload of familiar unpleasant memories. We find ourselves falling down the same downward spiral again. In such a situation, first after getting away from the trigger, we have no other option but to repeat the process of getting over our grief.

Scars

Little children end up wearing their scars as a badge of honor. As we grow and our pain turns into emotional rather than physical, scars take longer to heal. While we may have loved ones to assuage our sadness, we must try our best to heal our scars too. Just because we have a support system is not a good excuse to stop taking responsibility for our emotional wellbeing.

Not such a fleeting memory

Over time, we can train ourselves to get over bad experiences. However, on occasion, we may come across triggers that unlock a truckload of familiar unpleasant memories. We find ourselves falling down the same downward spiral again. In such a situation, first after getting away from the trigger, we have no other option but to repeat the process of getting over our grief.

Over To You…

While our pain may be minuscule in other’s eyes, to us it is a big deal. Depression and other mental health disorders are increasingly common these days. If we come across people who seem to have gone through or are going through a rough patch, it is our duty to try and make it easier for them. While there are poetry and movies around unfathomable grief, nothing is impossible. With help and support, many people can be saved. No grief or loss is permanent.
