Julian Dames, the Co-founder of Foodora and the VP International Marketing of DeliveryHero has invested an undisclosed amount in Elmenus – Cairo-based food logistic startup. The deal was closed this very week and Dames will also be joining the board of advisors of Elmenus.
The investment will be used to augment online food ordering in Egypt by personalising the food recommendations for Elmenus users to ultimately reduce ordering and delivery time.
Elmenus, that operates in 24 cities across Egypt, claims to serve over one million users every month has built an AI-based solution to personalise food recommendations for users based on the pre-collected data.
