SET University, a Ukrainian educational institution, invites Ukrainian women to take part in a three-day training by a Berkeley professor. The training “Leading with Confidence in the AI World” will be provided in Kyiv, Ukraine, by UC Berkeley Fisher Center for Business Analytics. The announcement about this opportunity was published by the founder of Roosh and SET University Sergey Tokarev on Facebook.
According to Tokarev, this course is part of a big campaign aimed at investing in high-quality education and motivation for women in order to bring more women to the technology sector. SET University does a lot in this regard and educates female specialists with the latest achievements in AI and data processing.
SET University focuses on a modern approach to education combining technology education and entrepreneurship. Apart from that, the SET team tries to ensure access for Ukrainians to relevant IT education, support for startups, and humanitarian aid.
The course “Leading with Confidence in the AI World” is part of the Berkeley Alliance for Inclusive AI program. To participate in the course, they invite Ukrainian women who head social projects, internally displaced women, and those working in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, and the Special Operations Forces. The course will allow women to grow professionally by using modern technologies and knowing how to process any data.
The deadline for applications is August 18, 2023.
Recently, Gauthier Vasseur, a director, and professor at the UC Berkeley Fisher Center for Business Analytics has joined SET University faculty as an Adjunct Professor and an academic board member. He will be using his knowledge of data analysis and digital transformation to teach Ukrainian women during the training.
This course is the first in the frame of the partnership with the Fisher Center for Business Analytics. Later, there will be more training as well as a program on innovation and entrepreneurship.
Sergey Tokarev also announces two interdisciplinary master’s programs in Computer Science and Innovation Engineering and Cyber Defense. To graduate, participants will have to launch a startup as part of their master’s thesis and validate it in the university accelerator.
These programs are a direct reaction to market needs. There will be a lot of practical workshops on the blockchain, study cyber security, project management, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies. The programs will fit entrepreneurs who think of a tech project, team leaders and managers who want to improve their knowledge and skills, and also developers and other tech specialists who want to structure their knowledge.
“Since the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has repeatedly confirmed its status as a technological state. And the SET team will keep on working to ensure that this trend does not fade away but continues thanks to a new educated generation of entrepreneurs and specialists,” Sergey Tokarev writes.
