The famous hacker group ‘Anonymous’ has recently targeted the billionaire Elon Musk through a video message called ‘Anonymous Message to Elon Musk’. The video dated 5 June on YouTube, alleges Elon Musk for disrupting the cryptocurrency market through his tweets. The video encompasses a series of dialogues that alleges and threatens the Tesla CEO, Elon Musk.
Based on various media reports, the video titled ‘Anonymous Message to Elon Musk’ was first spotted by TMZ, uploaded on the official YouTube channel of the Anonymous hacker group on June 5.
The video is revolving around the web like wildfire. In the video, an anonymous masked person conveys that Elon through his disruptive commentary on Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market is destroying the life of an average working person and crypto investor.
“Greetings citizens of the world, this is a message from the Anonymous for Elon Musk. For the past several years you have enjoyed one of the most favourable reputations of anyone in the billionaire class because you have tapped into the desire that many of us have to live in a world with electric cars and space exploration but recently your carefully created public image is being exposed and people are beginning to see you as nothing more than another narcissistic rich dude who is desperate for attention,”
Anonymous alleges that Elon’s agenda to save humanity isn’t real,
“It appears that your quest to save the world is more rooted in a superiority and savior complex than it is in actual concern for humanity,”
Backing with a media report “Elon Musk, Tesla are pushing factory workers to the brink as profits soar“, Anonymous said that Musk’s employees as facing intolerable conditions for years and that he is making young children work in lithium mines – also affecting local environment,
“This has been obvious to your employees for a long time, who have faced intolerable conditions under your command for years. It is also obvious to the young children working in your overseas lithium mines which are destroying the local environment as well,”
Anonymous highlighted that Elon Musk is sending people to Mars to die,
“You have even prematurely crowned yourself “Emperor of Mars”, a place where you’ll be sending people to die,”
Speaking of Elon’s commentary and tweeting about crypto, Anonymous said,
“Tesla also has made more money holding bitcoin for a few months than they did in years of selling cars,”
“your move to create a Bitcoin miner council was rightly seen as an attempt to centralize the industry and take it under your control,”
“Reading from the comments on your Twitter posts, it seems that the games you have played with the crypto markets have destroyed lives. Millions of retail investors were really counting on their crypto gains to improve their lives,”
Continuing the statement with a personal attack on Elon Musk, whilst quoting a media report from Business Insider, Anonymous said,
“this is something you will never understand because you were born into the stolen wealth of a South African aparthied emerald mine and have no clue what struggle is like for most of the working people in the world. Ofcourse, they took the risk upon themselves when they invested and everyone knows to be prepared for volatility in crypto, but your tweets this week show a clear disregard for the average working person,”
Anonymous ended up by challenging Elon Musk, saying,
“You may think you are the smartest person in the room, but now you have met your match. We are Anonymous, we are Legion, expect us.”
The popular hacker group pointed that Elon was already aware of the energy consumption associated with Bitcoin mining before citing it as a reason for not accepting Bitcoin payments for Tesla.
Anonymous affirms that Tesla generates most of the revenue through the green carbon tax credit from the governments of the countries which it operates into. It alleges that the reason the use of Bitcoin was stopped was to maintain this flow of revenue from the government.
Elon Musk on Jun 6 posted a tweet saying “Don’t kill what you hate, Save what you love”
A few media reports say that this might be a response to the Anonymous.
