The CEO of Alphabet and Google, Sundar Pichai has reportedly donated INR 5 crore to a non-profit organisation Give India to contribute towards cash assistance for vulnerable daily wage worker families amid COVID-19. Google earlier donated a same amount of INR 5 crore to Give India, which is why Give India tweeted,
The NPO has raised over INR 12 crore until now to support vulnerable and daily-wage earners across India.

Apart from this, Pichai last month announced that Google will be providing over $800 million to support small and medium businesses (SMBs), health organisations, governments and health workers in a move to ease up the load of COVID-19 for them.

Pichai in a statement said,
“This is an increase from our initial $25 million announced last month. In addition, we’re providing $20 million in ad grants to community financial institutions and NGOs specifically to run public service announcements on relief funds and other resources for SMBs,”
Google committed a $200 million investment fund that will support NGOs and financial institutions around the world to help provide small businesses with access to capital.
