Groupe SEB, a French small domestic appliance maker yesterday (19 May) announced that the company has appointed Ashish Kakkar as the CEO for India operations. Kakkar brings a vast experience of over 22 years and industry expertise in brand management, strategic marketing, product development and sales in the consumer Durable and FMCG sectors.
Kakkar has worked with some of the world’s best-known brands including Jarden Consumer Solution, Philips India Ltd, Bajaj Electrical Ltd and Godrej. Before joining Groupe SEB, he was associated with Reynolds Pens India Pvt. Ltd. as the Country Manager. Reynolds recognised Ashish for his contribution in business turnaround through effective leadership and business development strategies.
Ashish’s core expertese encompasses P&L management, Brand Building & Trade Marketing, Go-to-Market strategy, Management Reorganisation and Cost Control.
He studied Leadership & Strategic Management from Jack Welch Management Institute and Digital Strategies for Business from Columbia Business School, USA post his Senior Management Program from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta.
Commenting on the appointment of Ashish, Emmanuel Serot, Senior Vice President EuroAsia in a statement said,
