This year began with World Record Egg dethroning make-up mogul Kylie Jenner as the Instagram queen after it broke the record of having the most number of likes on one photo. The stock picture of the egg has as many as 52.8 million likes by far and was solely uploaded to break the record previously possessed by Kylie.
Her first photo with daughter Stormi Webster from last year had gone on to garner more than 18 million likes. As of today, the cosmetic line founder has more than 126 million followers on Instagram, just a million less than her half-sister Kim Kardashian and is the seventh most followed celebrity, next in line after pop divas Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande (145 million each) and Dwayne Jonhson (131 million).
On Thursday, however, a bug in the photo-sharing social-networking service wreaked havoc across the different social media platforms when the eagle-eyed fans of these most-followed stars on Instagram noticed a significant decline in the number of followers. Arianators, Selenators and Kylie Kings were quick to point out how the IG queens lost as many as 3 million followers overnight,
Now, the bug created a huge confusion and stir on the web as some actually thought that the tie between the often-compared singer-songwriters, Selena and Ariana, was finally broken by a huge margin.

Although the initial follower counts seem to have restored, developers, in the meantime, confirmed the bug and informed via Twitter that the glitch will be resolved by Friday. The bug had apparently also affected Indian users as well as several public figures and influencers who complained about the issue.
