The renowned women’s fashion, beauty and innerwear company Victoria’s secret has recently announced its direct-to-consumer (D2C) operation in India through its India-focussed website victoriassecretbeauty.in and franchisee partnership with the Mumbai-based Major Brands (India) Pvt. Ltd.
The India-centric beauty portal also houses a huge portfolio of fragrances including Natural Beauty Body Care, Mist Collections, accessories, and PINK beauty collections.
Speaking of the development, the company in press statement said,
“The online platform will be launched in India, exclusively in partnership with franchisee retailer Major Brands (India) Pvt. Ltd,”
“While the brand enters the market with a digital focus on the beauty business, Victoria’s Secret and Major Brands have confirmed plans to launch full assortment lingerie brick and mortar stores in Mumbai in Summer, 2022,” the company added
On similar lines, Tushar Ved, CEO of Major Brands, said,
“Victoria’s Secret is a huge brand in the lingerie, skincare, and perfume categories. We at Major Brands have been working towards getting similar premium brands to the Indian markets for years now. We are planning to bring one to two premium international brands every year to India. After successfully bringing in the likes of Aldo, Bath and Body Works, and the rest, Victoria’s Secret made sense.”
Founded in 2001, Major Brands has brought many international brands to India including Aldo, La Sensa, Bath and Body Works, Charles & Keith, Beverly Hills Polo Club, Inglot, and Call It Spring among others, and not Victoria’s Secret.
