The Philippines-based company GCash has recently announced a partnership with UAE’s Denarii Cash to provide Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) the ability to send money to their families in the Philippines without any transaction fee.
All OFWs working the UAE can download the Denarii Cash app from Android Play Store and iOS App Store to add their family and friends as beneficiaries and send money seamlessly by eliminating transactional fee. The recipients will then receive the money immediately in their GCash account.
Commenting on the development, Denarii Cash founder, Jon Santillan in a statement said,
“We believe that Filipinos deserve a faster, cheaper and safer option to send to their families back home especially at a time like this. We partnered with GCash, the number one mobile wallet in the Philippines, because we think that both companies share the same vision,”
Also, Fred Levy, the Chief Commercial Officer at GCash said,
We see this as a strategic partnership as we aim to help OFWs and their families in the Philippines have access to innovative solutions like GCash for a fast, convenient and secure way of sending money thereby supporting our purpose of financial inclusion.
OFWs can enjoy one-month of free services and 50% discount for the next 2 months. Denarii Cash and GCash are working on expanding their services to come up with better solutions and more affordable offers for the OFWs.
