Parineeti Chopra Is Now the Face of Baby Quick Commerce Startup OZi

Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra joins OZi as brand ambassador as the baby quick commerce startup closes a $6.2 million Series A led by RTP Global.

OZi, the Gurugram-based vertical quick commerce platform built specifically for baby and kids’ products, has named actor Parineeti Chopra as its brand ambassador. The announcement, made on April 3, comes alongside the launch of a new digital film featuring her — and the disclosure of a $6.2 million Series A funding round.

Currently live in Gurugram and Noida, OZi stocks over 15,000 products for children aged 0 to 12, spanning fashion, toys, feeding essentials, pharmacy, school supplies, baby gear, and gifting. The platform promises delivery within 60 minutes, around the clock, along with scheduled delivery slots, a Try & Buy option for evaluating products at home, and a demo cart service for larger purchases like strollers — where parents can compare multiple options without stepping out.

Chopra, who became a mother recently, cited that personal context in explaining the association. “As a new parent, you quickly realise how unpredictable everyday needs can be. Sometimes it’s a last-minute essential, sometimes it’s something your child suddenly needs,” she said. “Convenience becomes incredibly valuable. What I liked about OZi is that it has been built keeping real parenting moments in mind — which is why this association felt very natural to me.”

Amit Sah, Founder and CEO of OZi, said Chopra reflects the kind of parent OZi was built for. “She represents the modern parent who is balancing multiple roles while embracing motherhood on her own terms, which is exactly the community we are building OZi for.”

A $6.2 Million Vote of Confidence

The brand ambassador announcement comes bundled with a significant funding milestone. OZi has closed $6.2 million in Series A funding led by RTP Global, with participation from existing investors Blume Ventures, Huddle Ventures, and Zeropearl VC. The angel roster reads like a roll call of Indian startup founders — including Kishore Biyani and founders from Unacademy, Mosaic Wellness, Livspace, Vetic, Magicpin, Spinny, Pristyn Care, and Handpicked.

The capital signals growing investor conviction in vertical quick commerce — platforms that go deep on a specific category rather than wide across groceries and general merchandise, a shift examined in detail in LAFFAZ’s analysis of how OZi compares to Blinkit and Zepto on baby products.

Not Her First Startup Bet

This is not the first time Parineeti Chopra has aligned herself with an early-stage Indian startup. In July 2023, she acquired a minority stake in Clensta, a health and personal care brand, marking her official foray into startup investing. Along with the equity stake, she also took on the role of brand ambassador for the IIT Delhi-backed company. Clensta, founded in 2016 by Puneet Gupta, raised ₹75 crore in a Pre-Series A round co-led by TradeCred and the Royal Family of the UAE, with Chopra participating as an investor. The brand subsequently reached ₹100 crore in annual recurring revenue, growing 300% in FY24.

The pattern is consistent

Chopra’s startup associations are not straightforward endorsement deals. With Clensta, she brought capital. With OZi, she brings personal relevance — a new mother fronting a platform built around the needs of new parents.

Whether this deepens into an equity stake at OZi remains to be seen. For now, it gives the startup a credible, resonant face at a moment when it is actively expanding its footprint beyond NCR.
