The Istanbul, Turkey headquartered Udentify today raised $150,000 from StartersHub, an early-stage focused investment fund based in Istanbul. Udentify that offers AI-powered business intelligence solutions also has offices in Chicago, US and Dubai, UAE.
The startup examines the shopping the behaviour of customers by using computer vision technology through in-store cameras – allowing managers to recognise their stores and customers through in-depth data analysis.
Commenting over the funding round, Can Dörtkardeşler, the Co-founder 7 CEO of Udentify shared that the fresh funds will be utilised to penetrate into the European market, especially Germany and UK; develop new services for customer relations and R&D department.

Udentify also got accepted to the Plug & Play Retail Tech program in Germany.

Founded in 2017 by Can Dörtkardeşler, Rıdvan Çilli, and Sezai Acer, the startup claims to be serving 20 retail chains having more than 117 stores across 10 countries including Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, and UAE. The clientele includes Virgin, MediaMarkt, Fred Perry, Lifecell, Diesel, Adel, Vatan Computer, Watsons and more. The number of camera installations has been increased by 500 percent in the last year itself.
