Bengaluru, India-based edtech startup Vedantu has reportedly raised a $100 million (around INR 742.2 crore) Series E funding round on Wednesday from a clutch of investors, becoming a unicorn. The funding round for Vedantu was led by Singapore-based impact investing fund ABC World Asia., with participation from existing investors including Coatue, Tiger Global, GGV Capital and Westbridge.
The latest funding round ascended Vedantu’s valuation by $400 million from $600 million previously, totalling $1 billion.
Speaking of the development for Vedantu, Sugandhi Matta, chief impact officer at ABC World Asia, in a statement said,
“Vedantu embodies our investment themes of providing better access to quality education and using digital technology to improve lives and livelihoods,”
