Dubai, UAE-based Periscope Media, a startup that develops kidtech and edutainment today announced that it has closed a seed funding round. The funding amount and the investors aren’t disclosed yet.

Started earlier this year by Smeetha Ghosh-Jorgensen, as the founding CEO of Periscope Media. The company develops innovative digital products for children and targets the MENA region – abiding the privacy laws like GDPR-K and COPPA.

Commenting on the development and sharing the vision for Periscope Media, Jorgensen in a statement said,

“I am very happy to have the support of our investors as we look to launch truly innovative and regional products tailored specifically for the MENA region. As parents ourselves we know only too well the importance of making sure our children are accessing not just quality content online but in an environment that is completely safe and private. Our mission is founded on protecting our children whilst providing an engaging and educational experience.”
