UAE’s most popular home cleaning app Justmop that raised funding from Faith Capital back in November 2019, yesterday announced about its expansion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia starting from operations in Jeddah and later this month in the capital Riyadh.

Talking about the growth of Justmop in the existing markets including UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain, Ali Cagatay Ozcan, the CEO & Co-founder of Justmop commented…

“With the part-time home cleaning sector estimated at a sizeable $1.2 billion, Saudi Arabia was always a target market for us from the offset. Our objective in the Kingdom is to disrupt the home cleaning sector, by digitalising the industry completely in order to provide a more liquid and transparent end to end customer experience”

Prior to the official launch in Jeddah, it has become Justmop’s second-largest city after Dubai. The company before the launch did thorough market research for six months to understand the market’s dynamics.

Commenting on the occasion of the launch in Jeddah, Kerem Kuyucu, Co-founder of Justmop thanked the existing investors for their support…

“We are very thankful to have found incredibly supportive investors along our journey, who have shown confidence in our concept from the start. Our investors include Collective Spark, Faith Capital Holding, OAK Capital, VentureFriends, and 500 Startups. Their trust and support have enabled us to accelerate the growth of Jusmop and transition very quickly from a online marketplace to a regional super app for all things cleaning related”

Atil Erken, General Partner at Collective Spark, which is an existing investor of Justmop, said…

“We have been following Justmop’s progress for the last five years and were impressed by how they scaled the business in a healthy fashion having successfully incorporated the learnings to the business model. We believe co-founders Kerem and Cagatay are an investor’s dream yin-yang, covering all critical aspects of a venture’s success both on the supply and demand sides. We will be thrilled to bring our marketplace expertise to the table, especially with respect to growth drivers, unit economics and international expansion.”

Justmop has started offering its home cleaning service in Jeddah starting from 32 SAR per hour; and to ensure that its service standards met every time, the company has launched a training centre for its cleaners led by a 5-star hospitality expert.
