Saudi-owned publisher Scopely has acquired a majority stake in Pixel Flow! developer Loom Games for an undisclosed fee, in a deal that values the Istanbul-based studio at over $1 billion.
Released in late 2025, Pixel Flow! has attracted more than 10 million players and entered the top-20 grossing charts in the United States.
Scopely chief revenue officer Tim O’Brien described the game’s early success as a “rare and impressive” demonstration of player engagement and commended the creativity of Loom Games’ 20-person development team.
“We are constantly exploring opportunities that could bring more world-class teams and game franchises into our operating system, and this investment signals our ongoing commitment to being a leading partner in the space,” O’Brien said. “We look forward to welcoming the Pixel Flow! team into the Scopely ecosystem and supporting their exciting roadmap ahead.”
Loom Games co-founder and CEO Kübra Gündoğan said the partnership will provide essential support while preserving the studio’s creative independence.
“Scopely’s unique ecosystem will allow us to maintain our creative autonomy while also learning from each other and continuing to build games that can become a meaningful part of players’ lives for the long term,” Gündoğan said.
She and co-founder Emre Çelik will continue leading Loom Games under Scopely’s ownership.
Scopely, which last year acquired Pokémon Go and Niantic’s wider game portfolio, is a California-based company fully owned by Savvy Games Group, a Saudi investment vehicle managed by the Public Investment Fund, which acquired Scopely for $8.9 billion in 2023. The Loom deal will also strengthen Scopely’s presence in the EMEA region.
