Actor Tamannaah Bhatia has launched her own fine jewellery brand, marking her formal entry into entrepreneurship alongside her film career.
The brand named “Tamannaah Fine Jewellery” has been introduced in Mumbai with the opening of a store at the Juhu Tara Road, positioning Bhatia among a growing number of Indian film personalities expanding into consumer businesses as they seek to build long-term personal brands beyond the entertainment industry.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, Bhatia said her decision to enter the jewellery business was influenced by her family background. “My father has been in the jewellery business for the past 15 years,” she said, adding that the industry was something she had been exposed to closely over time.
Bhatia said she views jewellery as a category that carries emotional and generational value. “Jewellery is something that stays with you beyond occasions,” she said in the interview, describing it as a medium that connects personal milestones with everyday life.
She also highlighted her hands-on involvement in building the brand. “I am involved from the process of production to the final retail — from the design to the aesthetics and the creative direction,” Bhatia said in the Harper’s Bazaar India interview.
According to Bhatia, the design philosophy of the brand reflects her personal style and lifestyle. She described it as rooted in what she called “casual glamour,” aimed at creating pieces that are wearable while still retaining a sense of luxury.
The launch adds a business dimension to Bhatia’s career at a time when several celebrities are turning to entrepreneurship to create sustainable, long-term ventures beyond their on-screen work.
