Chanchlani appeared before the Crime Branch with his advocate, just days after the Gauhati High Court granted him interim bail in connection with the India’s Got Latent case. This development comes as a follow-up to the court’s decision, which directed Chanchlani to cooperate with the investigation.

Ranveer Allahbadia‘s controversial remarks have sparked a multi-agency investigation, with Maharashtra Cyber, Mumbai Police, and Guwahati Police all looking into the matter. As part of the investigation, officials have recorded his statement, and he has been allowed to leave for the time being, according to a report by PTI.

According to Guwahati Police Joint Commissioner Ankur Jain, Ashish Chanchlani’s statement was recorded. Jain explained, “As he cooperated with our investigation, we let him go. If required, he will be called again.”

Ashish Chanchlani had previously appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber to provide his statement, a day prior to his latest questioning. Chanchlani, along with Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija, has been named in an FIR registered by the Guwahati Police under relevant sections.

The police have announced that they will be sending out fresh notices to the remaining accused individuals who have yet to present themselves for investigation. This move aims to ensure that all parties involved cooperate with the authorities and provide their statements.

In a related development, the Supreme Court had earlier granted interim protection from arrest to podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, who is the primary accused in the case. Allahbadia had made certain comments on the show “Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent” that sparked controversy and led to multiple FIRs being filed against him.

Actress Rakhi Sawant, who made a guest appearance on the show, has also been summoned by the authorities. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Cyber is still waiting to record the statement of Samay Raina, who is also involved in the case.

Ranveer Allahbaddya has taken responsibility for his actions, admitting that he made a mistake by sharing controversial comments on a YouTube show. His remarks sparked widespread outrage, and he’s now facing criticism. Allahbadia recently gave his statement to the Maharashtra Cyber Cell, owning up to his error.

“In his statement, Allahbadia admitted that he made a mistake by making controversial comments on the YouTube show, for which he is being criticised,” PTI quoted officials as saying. This development comes after Allahbadia’s comments on the show kicked up a huge row, with many condemning his language and behavior.

During his statement, Ranveer Allahbadia revealed that Samay Raina is a friend of his, and he had appeared on the show solely to support him. Allahbadia also clarified that he did not receive any payment for his appearance on the show.
