Middle East’s makeup and fashion mogul Huda Kattan was about to take on-stage along with Mona Kattan, the sister of Huda and co-founder of Huda Beauty in an event called VidCon Abu Dhabi, a 3-day event earlier projected for March 25 to March 28 has been postponed due to the COVID-19 Outbreak that has scarred over 74 lives in the UAE as of March 11, 2020; with 11 new cases as notified by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP on Thursday.
The event has now been rescheduled to December 16 – 19, 2020, as announced on the official portal of VidCon Abu Dhabi that says,
VidCon is SO excited to bring our vibrant, fun, and educational celebration of online video to Abu Dhabi for the first time. However, our number one priority is always the safety and health of our attendees, sponsors, speakers, creators, and staff.
In light of the recent precautions taken worldwide to manage the current global health risks, we have made the difficult decision to postpone VidCon Abu Dhabi to December 16 – 19, 2020.

The event portal has also confirmed that people who have already purchased the tickets and still want to attend the event in December will receive one free companion ticket. Delicates confirmed for VidCon Abu Dhabi includes Huda Kattan, Mona Kattan, social media star Brent Rivera, YouTube stars Rawan and Rayan, YouTuber Naz, beauty influencer Michelle Dy, and others.
LAFFAZ last week contacted VidCon to comment whether the above-mentioned celebrities will still be taking the stage at VidCon, December or not. The company over the email confirmed that Huda, Mona, Naz, Rawan and Rayan will be participating in the December’s event, while the rest of the delegates Brent and Michelle have not yet confirmed their participation, but they have time till mid-May to confirm.
“Huda & Mona have reconfirmed for the December event, as have Naz and Rawan & Rayan. The other talent Brent Rivera & Michelle Dy have not reconfirmed as yet, but we gave our talent a deadline of mid-May to let us know so that they had time to work out their schedules for the second half of the year”, the company told LAFFAZ over email
